- What is a Digital Voice / phone Recorder normally used for?

- How do you transfer the sound files on Digital Voice / phone Recorder to the computer?
- Using the external cable (included accessory), you connect the Digital Phone / Voice Recorder (earphone jack) with the computer (microphone jack).
Using the software, the WORKING sound card on your computer will then transfer your sound files on MiVoice to your computer.
With some models the recorder is connected to the computer via USB port.
- Can the sound files on the recorder be transferred to a MAC (Apple Computer)?
- YES. You are able to use any third party software to download the recordings.
You may use Real Player's software that has recording capabilities. In addition, the following are some of the freewares available:

- How long does it take to transfer 1 hour of recording to the computer?
- One minute with Digital Recorders using USB interface, One hour with Digital Recorders using Mic. Input interface.
- How much space on the computer does 1 hour of sound file takes?
- Approximately 30MB for the S models and 4MB for the SU model.
- What format will the sound file be saved as when downloaded to the computer?
- Unique format called .FVT. you can use the included software to transfer this file to .WAV file (a common format used with music CD's).
- What are the features of the Digital Phone Recorder?

- How do I record telephone conversation only when someone is using it?
- You have to activate the VOX mode. It is activated when the "PacMan" icon is blinking. Please refer to the manual for instructions. MiVoice will record when there is sound and it will be on QUIET mode when there is no sound.
- Can I record cell / cellular phone calls?

If you have a cell phone with a 2.5mm or 3.5mm Headset Jack on the phone and a hands-free headset
option (no need to have the headset itself), you can use this device.
Connected between your cell phone and the recorder this device will Automatically (or manually) start recording your cell phone calls, and Automatically (or manually) stops recording when the cell phone call is ended.

- When I transfer the sound files from the Digital Voice / phone Recorder to the computer, will it transcribe the file to text?
- NO. In order to transcribe from voice to text, you are required to use a third party software such as Voice Express, etc. With the normal usage of such voice-to-text software, you will be required to train it to recognize your voice pattern from MiVoice instead of speaking directly to the microphone of the computer.
- I want to record music from my CD to MiVoice. Is the sound quality good enough?
- You will be able to enjoy the sound quality of a CD on Digital Voice / Phone Recorders with the feature of recording and playing MP3 files - look at the following digital recorders for more details: CVR-H130 Digital Recorder ; 1318-MP

- How long does the battery last?
- The duration of the battery depends on the various functions and modes you are using. In addition to that, the type of battery you use will also affect the duration.
- What is the difference between the 708S and 909S?
- The main difference is the design. However, only 708S has key-lock functions.
